NB: The Danish Exams are held in both Aarhus and Rønde. The active citizen exam and the citizenship exam are only held in Aarhus.
The Danish Exam is free of charge for students enrolled in a Danish Education at Lærdansk. Students at Lærdansk sign up with their teacher.
Independent students can sign up online or in the reception at Lærdansk Aarhus.
Standard fee for a Danish Exam is DKK 1,362.00.
Standard fee for a Citizenship exam or an Active citizenship exam is DKK 783.00.
About the Danish Exams
The exams cover the student's comprehension of written and spoken Danish and the student's ability to write and speak in Danish.
About the Active Citizenship Exam
The Active Citizen Exam is a multiple choice test with 25 questions. 20 correct answers are required to pass the exam. Duration: 30 minutes.
About the exam
The Citizenship Exam is a multiple choice test with 40 questions. 32 correct answers are required to pass the exam. Duration: 45 minutes.

Valid photo ID is required to enter the examination.
