Staff and Spouses/partners at Aarhus UniversityWe offer international staff members and their spouses free Danish courses at beginner and advanced levels. The courses are planned as a cooperation between Aarhus University and Lærdansk Aarhus and most courses take place on campus. We have highly educated and experienced teachers and use modern materials to ensure a fast and efficient learning process. All our courses are consistent with the Common European Framework of Reference for Language.

This intensive course is offered only at a beginner level and corresponds to 50 lessons. The classes are held every day for two weeks. There are several crash courses throughout the year, depending on the semester and the number of participants.

During the full course you will develop an active Danish vocabulary and gain an insight into the Danish culture. The course is a mix between class room and online lessons. The classes are designed specifically to international staff and their spouses.

First registration period

Start date: week 17 // Deadline for regisration: 9 April 2017
We can offer you a certificate from the Danish Ministry of Education after each course. Please read more about how the introductory course is structured here.
When you finish all five courses you are given the opportunity to take a placement test. After the test, you can receive a new certificate stating your level of Danish language according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
