ANDRADA CĂTĂLINA PURLUCĂ
Motto / Life vision
In order to be irreplaceable, you must always be different.
Master in Geophysics, Aarhus University
I like to be part of different societies and groups that organise activities with heterogenous subjects. Also, I have to admit that I’m addicted to having friends and spend time with them. I’m a very enthusiastic person, always looking to meet new people, exchange experiences and of course having a great time!
Your student experience at Lærdansk Aarhus
I have to admit that at the beginning it was really dificult to make some connections and learn the basic things. After 2-3 weeks, I realised that I am able to read and understant a text and also understand people from the bus and shops. It’s really funny beacause they think that you don’t understand them! :))
A funny experience from when you started to learn/use the Danish language
I remember when one of my teachers was talking with my colleagues about me and at the end of the conversation I said that I heard and understood every word and they were really surprised! Haha, maybe I shouldn’t tell them that!
Your experience as an Ambassador
For me it was a great experience. Firstly, I had the opportunity to meet new and amazing people and life stories. Secondly, during these months, I learned how to better promote events and I interacted with Danish and international students at a professional level.
Short description of your individual project
My individual project was to find interesting and unique places from the city, take a picture and then write a short poem about them, thus offering some insight. I included Danish words and I tried to make it as funny as possible. For me, it was a good way to start exploring the city of Aarhus. You can see an example of the post here.
