Diana Rank, HR-coordinator at Danish Crown, works together with Lærdansk in Esbjerg on Danish tuition for the company’s foreign employees. She’s very pleased with the collaboration and explains:
In Danish Crown we have fantastic employees, but there will always exist linguistic challenges in relation to foreign employees. We try to solve those by offering Danish tuition at the workplace.
Carefully planned courses
Together with Lærdansk we have planned the course so that the tuition is based on the language used every day at Danish Crown.
The course also respects the way the work is planned here. Many other concepts require that we can gather at least ten employees of the same nationality. Here, we can put together mixed groups and thereby avoid taking too many employees out of production at any given time.
More job satisfaction
We sense that the targeted tuition has increased the employees’ job satisfaction. Furthermore, they have gone through our hygiene and safety procedures again, which has led to a better understanding. All of it contributes to a heightening of efficiency and quality at Danish Crown.
