The course is addressed to all new foreign citizens who have been assigned a civil registry number and are in an integration program or an introduction program. The course is free of charge. The course must be commenced and completed within the time specified in the executive order.

In 40 lessons the course offers the participants a basic knowledge of Denmark in the field such as everyday life, manners, customs, workplace culture and the educational system.

Each teaching session follows a fixed structure based on the text and the film material on the day’s topic. The teaching is based on the book “Citizen in Denmark – a guide for new citizens in the Danish society. Link: http://www.nyidanmark.dk/en-us/citizenship/citizen_in_denmark/. Then the students solve linguistic as well as comprehensive assignments of the subject.
