Preparatory Adult Education (FVU)

Have you taken all of the Danish instruction you are entitled to? Do you want to improve your reading, writing or math skills? The Preparatory Adult Education may be for you. Lærdansk offers courses in FVU Start, FVU Reading and FVU Mathematics.

About the courses

Target group

FVU is for you if you want to improve your reading, writing or math skills. Perhaps you are encountering language problems during your regular workday. Perhaps you would like to prepare for an educational program or course. We can help you with that.

FVU Start

FVU Start is a course in spoken and written Danish. The course is for you who has Danish skills equivalent to Danish education 1 Module 6 and would like to improve your Danish skills.

The course is comprised of seven lessons per week, divided over two days (Aarhus).

FVU Start is comprised of one level of 40 to 80 lessons.

FVU Reading (levels 1 to 4)

Perhaps you want to improve your spoken and written Danish skills before you start an educational program. Or perhaps you have a job where you need to improve your reading and writing skills.

The course is comprised of seven lessons per week, spread over two days (Aarhus). 

FVU Reading is comprised of four levels. Each level is comprised of 40 to 80 lessons.

FVU Mathematics

On the FVU Mathematics course, you can learn new words and expressions from the world of mathematics, refresh your math skills and learn to solve everyday math problems.

The course is comprised of 3.5 lessons per week, spread over one day (Aarhus).

FVU Mathematics is comprised of two levels. Each level is comprised of 40 to 80 lessons, which can be concluded with a voluntary examination with an external proctor.

Prices

The FVU course is free. However, if you are receiving certain welfare benifits, you must have authorization from your case manager.

FVU is available at the Lærdansk language centers in Aarhus and Ringsted-Sorø.

Registration

To be accepted to FVU course, you must take an aptitude test. The tests take place on a regular basis. You will learn more about how you can take the test when you register. Register for the aptitude test at the Lærdansk language centers in Aarhus or Ringsted-Sorø.
